    I so appreciate your approach to this topic, Steve, and I had heard you discuss it before. Yes, there is a lot of information about a person that is not reflected on their chart, and that’s where the map of astrology meets the territory of a person’s complex life. One theme I have found in the charts of a majority of gay friends and clients is Chiron in the 2nd house. I know you haven’t always used Chiron in your readings, maybe you still don’t, but I have always found it reveals an important dimension of the personality in the chart. For these 2nd house Chiron folks, it seems to be an early emotional injury to self-esteem that they then heal and rise above. One of their gifts to the world becomes learning to value themselves, their contribution, and their inherent dignity, and then teaching others about that.

    Great answer and it makes a lot of sense. Have worked with and had a lot of gay friends over the years. Love their unique and quick senses of humor. But is there any way of forecasting when the gay community as a whole will lose their hostility toward straight people and calling attention to the fact they are gay? I am a short, fat, old white woman with a big bottom who has been involved in metaphysics for years (Uranus in Gemini in the 3rd), but I own it and do not make demands on others to accept my philosophies and ways of life. Gays are so intelligent and talented in so many ways, I feel they are holding themselves back — just get on with it being the best you can be. Those who love will love and those who hate will hate. That goes for everyone.
